Happy Christmas!

Aidan had a very good first Christmas week. He got all sort of wonderful gifts from his family. As you can see here he is sporting his raindeer hat he got from his Cousin Harrison, Uncle Conrad, and Aunt Campbell.

Joanne got a special Boxing Day present when Aidan said Mama to her for the first time. That made her day!

We are off to England today and we hope to have some fantastic pictures of Aidan's return to the UK very soon.

I know I left a cookie in here somewhere. . .

Aidan has a great time discovering Granda Diane and Grandpa Roger's kitchen. Aidan has a second word as well, it is Kitty (although it sounds like kiki, but we know what he is talking about).

Guess what's new???

Well after several weeks of relatively no new news Thanksgiving came and Aidan decided to start showing off new tricks. Starting just before Thanksgiving, Aidan has now learned to sit himself up. This is now a simple task.

About a week after Thanksgiving Aidan has taken to crawling. His proficiency of this skill has been developing all week. While this skill is one that is reserved for only getting to things he is highly motivated to play with (keeping rolling to the items as the lazy way to get where he going), he is gradually moving more with the crawl and less with the roll.

He is also starting the cruising a bit as well. The newest trick is to stand on his own. This one is very very new, and he is very very novice at it, and it only happens for a couple of seconds at best.

Aidan also had his first meeting with (Grand)Father Christmas. The pictures turned out quite nice. When we see you in the coming weeks we will be very willing to share them with you, but you have to keep the identity of this Santa a secret.

Other things that have happened since Halloween: 2 new teeth (uppers), Dada was his first word, he has taken a strong liking to Sam the cat (Grandma Diane's kitty), and has gotten close to saying kitty (although mom and dad haven't witnessed this yet).

Boo!

This isn't Aidan's halloween costume (which many of you have seen), but Aidan is ready to celebrate the festivities of the fall.

Bath time

This is Aidan just getting finished with his bath on Sunday. He was having a great time splashing and playing in the water.

Rainy Days

Aidan and mommy getting ready to go out one rainy day.

Aidan's visit to OMSI

On Daddy's birthday we went to OMSI. Aidan had a blast. He saw a bunch of other kids and got to explore with a whole bunch of things. There was an aquarium that was very interesting, a sand box, a tub of plastic balls, a water fountain, and a lot more. Aidan seemed to enjoy the climbing blocks as one of his favorites.

That time at the park

Couple of weeks ago we enjoyed a nice early autumn day at our local park. Aidan loves his swing!

6 Months Old

On Thursday, Aidan turned the big 1/2 year(s) old. He is sitting in his chair that he associates food with. We told him about cake on birthdays, but didn't grasp only full years count for the cake rule. He was treated some very mushy pears that evening instead.

Rock 'n Roll Superstar

Aidan was catching some tunes the other day. . .

Chillin' Out

Aidan took a nap one morning while daddy got ready for work.

Aidan went to the doctor for his 4 month check up (at 6 months due to scheduling conflicts with the doctor) on Thursday and he is 27 inches long, and 17 1/2 pounds.

How did Mommy make this?

Aidan was having his first bits of rice cereal here. He really enjoys it made with Mommy's milk, but will eat it if is made with water.

Cruisin'

Sorry that there has been no new info in a bit. Aidan and Joanne are currently on a cruise to Alaska. We are hoping to get some new pictures from that adventure. Last week Aidan met his cousin Harrison. It was a very exciting meeting, even if Aidan didn't acknowledge it for the most part. Keep tuned, we should have some new pictures shortly.

Red Rover, Red Rover. . .

. . . and Aidan rolled right over. Altough technically he did already rollover (in his 2nd week), Aidan did a much more deliberate rollover this afternoon for his mommy on Mothers Day. A mere 5 minutes earlier we had a 10 minute video session in which he came quite close, but it wasn't until the pressure of the came was taken off before he showed off his skills.

SWM seeking some food

Aidan today had many adventures. He went to another new church for him, where he was a hit (Salmon Creek UMC). He visited his Great Grandma Stajgr for a while. He got in his toy car that his Grandad Keith bought him three times. He also had some good exploring time on his tummy.

You said the Easter Bunny was doing what????

Aidan had a big day before he left for England. He got to see both pairs of Grandparents and a set of Great Greatgrand parents, plus Aunts and Uncles galore. It was a very busy day for our very busy guy.

Aidan was dedicated at Stevenson United Methodist Church on Sunday April 9th, 2006 by the Rev. Dr. Keith Hackett. It was a very lovely day.

So you say bouncing is the bestest???

Aidan and Tigger were having a staring contest. . . Tigger won, but Aidan claimed he had an unfair advantage.

Anyone heard the one about the chicken crossing the road?

Joanne was making faces at Aidan while he was sitting in his rocking chair. Aidan seemed to enjoy that.

The day this picture was taken was. . .

I think I had an accident on your hand!

Aidan was making a lot of noise last night with his Grandpa. I think they both were enjoying the experience.

Did someone say ice cream?

Aidan has been having a great time the last couple of days. He is practicing his smiles for everyone at Easter and everyone in England.

Great Grandmas and Great Grandpas are Great!

Today I went and visited my Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Stajgr, and guess what. . .

I loved it!!

Saturday, March 11, 2006

Today Aidan and his mom and dad went with his Grandpa Roger and Grandma Diane out for dinner. We had a wonderful time. Afterwords Aidan had some dinner at his Grandparents house while we had a nice talk. Tomorrow we go to church for the very first time. We get our first sermon by Grandad Keith.

Thursday, March 02, 2006

Last Sunday Aidan took some time to chill with his Grandma Diane. We all had a very nice afternoon over at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Yesterday Aidan was very enamored with shadows. The engaging movement kept him occupied for a whole fifteen minutes!

Grandma Joan is holding me. I am wrapped up in a blanket that my Great Great Auntie Doreen made for me. I like it because it is nice and soft.

This is me brand new. As you can tell I need cleaning off. The nice nurses are doing that for me.

This is me in my new swing. It matches my car seat and stroller.

Aidan is trying out his dad's swing. He liked it so much that we bought him his own new version of it.

This was the day that Aidan tried being one of those garden gnomes out. It was tough work so he took a nap.

Aidan's First Entry

Hello folks. Due to the sucess of Aidan's cousin's blog (Harrison), Joanne and I have decided we'd try our hand at posting entries of our newest arrival, Aidan Horner.

Aidan was born on Feb 17th at 6:47pm. He was 9 lbs 8 oz and was 20 inches long, as of February 28th he regained the weight and gained 2 inches.
